Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music is one of the biggest within his part of the Latin mainstream. The 2016 smash Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in 2017. The album he released as his debut ADN was issued through La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number 8 at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. He then was a part of Ozuna to record his Top Five smash Vaina Loca. Mala Influencia is his collaboration with Noriel in the year 2020. The following year, Dopamina became his second album. Later, in 2021, the singer sang a duet 2021 with TINI on her hit song Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo comes from an musical family, as both his elder brother and mother also play music. According to him, music was a fundamental aspect of his daily life. As a child, he was taught how to perform on the guitar, piano and ukulele. His initial goal was to be a veterinarian, the brother Julian advised him to go for lessons in singing with a Cuban teacher. The end outcome of discovering his talents in the field of singing changed the course of his life.
